Three Sisters Peaks at the Blue Mountain National Park

The Blue Mountains National Park is a beautiful and diverse area with a range of experiences from treking through mountains to access one of the many waterfalls, an early morning sunrise view across the Three Sister peaks, and sweeping views of lush green forests on the blue tinged mountains that get the color from mix of coal in the soil. . I felt a sense of awe and wonder as I walked through the park, taking in the stunning views of the blue-hazed mountains and the surrounding valleys. I also felt a sense of calm and tranquility as I immersed myself in the natural environment. Completing some of the more difficult trails through the Waterfall circuit left me with a sense of accomplishment and pride as I completed my walk.

These are many waterfalls that can be found in Blue Mountains National Park, and each one offers a unique and breathtaking view of the natural beauty of this stunning region. The Valley of the Waters trek is a popular hiking trail . The trail is known for its stunning views of the park's waterfalls, including Empress Falls, Sylvia Falls, and Lodore Falls, as well as its lush vegetation and rocky terrain.

Empress Waterfalls in the Blue Mountains National Park

The first major waterfall on the trek is Empress Falls, which drops 30 meters into a deep pool below. From there, the trail continues through the valley, passing by several smaller waterfalls and cascades before reaching Lodore Falls, which is located near the end of the trek.

The water cascades over a series of rocky ledges before plunging over the cliff face, creating a stunning and dramatic sight. The interplay of sunlight and green algae on the rocks at the bottom of the falls provided a beautiful color palette to the picture.

Being October, the water flow was depleted and gave me an opportunity so set up the shot with my tripod set up right in the middle of the water flow at the base of the falls. This shot was taken with a wide angle 20mm focal length to capture the entire fall with a rocks at the bottom serving as good foreground interest. I wanted to smoothen out the waterflow through a long exposure shot and an exposure time of 1.5 sec achieved the desired effect.

Wentworth Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in the Blue Mountains. The waterfall drops approximately 187 meters into a deep pool below and is surrounded by lush vegetation and rocky cliffs. Visitors to Wentworth Falls can access the waterfall via several walking tracks, including the National Pass and the Wentworth Pass, which offer stunning views of the falls and surrounding landscape.

At the base of the waterfall, one can enjoy swimming in the pool or simply bask in the beauty of the natural surroundings. There are also several picnic areas and lookout points located near the waterfall, providing the perfect place to relax and take in the stunning scenery.
